Good afternoon.
After breakfast went to get some wood to make a base for the new freezer which is the garage. Made it before I went shopping.
Then back home to finish doing the Christmas cards and took them to the post office as some are going abroad. Bought stamps for those going in the UK.
After lunch went and posted the remainder of the cards.
Have managed to get out in the garden as it is not raining and cut up the small branches which have blown down in the recent strong winds. They are now in our green bin which is for garden waste and waste food.
Now just pottering.

Tom booked a day off for us to go C shopping....we ended up at the MetroCentre! Traffic getting there is a nightmare - they are upgrading the A1 to three lanes in both directions from the Angel to just past the Metro, about 5 or 6 miles but it's been ongoing for almost two years and the volume of traffic, coupled with horrendous driving conditions, made it a bit of a struggle. But it was great - Jen came with us as she had to pop to Gateshead to pick up her clothes collection that she had showing while she was away, and then we met up inside the Metro and did a bit more shopping....but I was glad to get home! It's been so dark and wet, nasty.

Hope everyone has had a good Thursday xx

Evening all, it rained heavily from before 9am until about 6 this evening  The children are staying for two nights and both are fast asleep, they were both really good. They 'helped' Mr Osc put up the tree and it all became a bit chaotic as part of the stand broke, necessitating emergency repairs, but got done in the end, in between stopping Kellie from climbing up to the attic, climbing/down up the stairs, eating the ornaments.... it was fun though, I don't think our tree has ever gone up so early but it certainly passed a rainy afternoon! The first time in this house too, and Michael chose the spot for it.

Early to bed tonight, up before 7am in the morning :o
