Goodness me Jen, I must have missed that Z was also in the wars :( Huge hugs coming from me ((((((x)))))

Thanks for the good wishes everyone, it was a relief to get the blessed thing off as my skin under the electrode pads had started to sting and itch, and I was a bit paranoid that I would accidentally knock the unit, being a bit clumsy LOL The results should take 10-14 days and I've already made the appointment to see Dr B (the nice one who speeded up my referral), the nearest they could make with her was Nov 10th, so I'll try to forget about it until then ;)

Ria that's so nice, about helping out the hedgehogs :D

Hello everyone. It was lovely to meet up with Ally yesterday and we had a great old chat over a drink. We've been on holiday for the past 11 days and have just got back this afternoon. It was a great success despite all our worries about how Mr PP would cope as he is still quite unsteady and easily tired, but it was the best thing we could have done as it gave him a new lease of life, seeing all our old friends in the hotel and having a drink in the evenings. He hired a mobility scooter so that we could get around the town and we're planning to buy one now that we're home and he realises just how much it give him his independence back.

Ally is her usual cheerful and beautiful self and it was a joy to see her again.

Now how did today just disappear without me posting  :? Just been catching up as I wasn't on much yesterday.

We had the children yesterday, as Michael was off sick from school - Miss Osc is between childminders at the moment so we are helping out a bit more. As I was still getting over my bad cold, I was tired starting out the day and totally shattered by the time they left  Having them both for a sleepover on Thursday night, so am glad that my cold is much improved.

Today I had Pilates in the morning and went for a walk on the pier afterwards. I've caught up on some ironing, changed the bedlinen, spent time looking up hallmarks for something I want to sell on ebay and we've been watching the last few programmes we had recorded last week. Jen, I hope today has been a better day for your family, I missed what happened to Z's leg? Hope everyone has had a good day :)

Thanks Liz..and it was absolutely lovely to see you again (looking fab!) too. :D :D

Reading the above, even after hearing about it yesterday, really brings it home how successful this holiday was.

Continued best wishes for G and I look forward to seeing you again in the not too distant future. xxxxx

Thanks Di; we had a lovely time. It's good to be back though and the door has been firmly shut on the cases spilling their contents all over the upstairs sitting room floor until I can be bothered to sort them.

I take it you've been on holiday too Osc. Somewhere nice? I hope your cold goes away quickly.

Awful isn't it Pp, I think I've got to the end now, and we got the cases up into the loft yesterday.
I do think it's almost as hard living with someone with a chronic illness/disability as having one yourself, I'm so glad your holiday was a success (((xx)))
