Great day out

Postby Osc » 10 Oct 2015, 21:13

We had a lovely day in Belfast, sometimes a day out just "works". We were up and out for the bus at 8.20 for our train at 9.30 which got us to Belfast just before midday. The market is a short walk from the station and we really enjoyed it, lots of food stalls, very little "tat" which would be a big bugbear of mine about markets, and a great live band. Enjoyed some lovely food, tapas, paella, icecream, yummy cakes. The band finished a little bit after 2.30 so we went for a little walk down to the river as our train back wasn't until 4pm.

When we got back to Dublin, we got a train home straight away, we were recording SCD, so we settled down to watch it, it was a very good show which finished off our day nicely. Mr Osc loved the market and we will definitely go back. With the free travel, we only had the cost of our lunch and a small present for Michael (it is Kellie's birthday tomorrow so we thought it would nice for him to get a present as well as she will get so much).

Glad it went well, Osc!

One of the things I remember about visiting Dublin was the live street music ..... :D
