I'm looking up stuff for our forthcoming Lisbon trip, and am wondering how to say Praca (can't find out how to do the twiddly bit on the c  ) and Figueira. I presume Rossi is said as it looks :? The local bus in from the airport is really cheap!

Not easy this Portuguese, the twiddly bits makes a huge difference!

Praça is pronounced prasa

Figueria is pronounced Fegweara

And you're right, Rossi is as it sounds - we think

Buses are dirt cheap, watch yourself on the metro, if you use it. Make sure all valuables are out of sight and keep tight hold of bags etc.

Shame we're so blinkin' far away, we could have met up. maybe when we move.

have a brilliant time.

if you can, get to some Fado music, the hotel might be able to help you with where. I love it, but it's an acquired taste.

Thanks Ton :) To be honest, what I have seen of Fado doesn't really appeal to us, Di.
