Jacob's off travelling soon: The UK, France and Germany are first on the list. :D :D

He's asked for my help in the packing of the suitcase department. :D :D

So far he's placed inside said suitcase: a jacket and 8 pairs of boxer shorts!

Aw Debs I know you would never force her! I just thought maybe they could offer her some sedation (or hypnosis?) or something, but it seems they might be able to work around it from what you've said, so fingers crossed! XX

Poor kid, I do feel for her! xxx

Kaz wrote:Debih I guess you are right, but just as a note of warning I have regretted all of my adult life not getting a brace when my dentist wanted me to when I was about 12/13 :( Is there no way her fear can be addressed instead :(

Feel free to tell me to mind me own beeswax, but I do have a ton of regrets over it. Can't afford it now (cosmetic dentistry is massively expensive) and also they are too 'set' to easily move, it wouldn't make a great deal of differnence now :(

Hear hear!! My teeth are horrid, and I would give anything to be able to turn the clock back and have the blasted braces....but as Kaz says costs are prohibitive for adults wishing to have cosmetic dentistry :| Poor kid though she does seem petrified, would the dentist be able to give her something to calm her pre treatment? Not advocating this, but for extreme cases? I know I was given a mild sedative when I had to have a tooth removed (as an adult, about 15 years ago now) and that helped me immensely. Just a thought.

Well I've done not very much today - finished my book (which was really good!) and popped a bit of grass seed to a bare patch of soil, so hopefully we'll get some nice new grass :) There was a terrific heavy shower about 2pm - high winds, blowing the torrential rain across the roads and everything  Sun's out again now though :D

Di my bobs will become very discombualted won't they??

Ally I left T to his own devices when we packed for Ibiza - he put 3 sweaters in!! Lordy be - will he ever learn???

  Gal.

I'd normally never help with packing but he's wondering what he'll need for the length of time and where he'll be going and trying to be sensible.

As it will still be hot here for many weeks he's gazing forlornly at his shorts and muttering about just buying stuff as and what the weather dictates.

We're going out for a beer soon...my reward (for not saying a word about the state of his room!!! :o   )

  Three sweaters for Ibiza in summer    Fellas eh? ;)

I think I might have gone for it - cost or not - if it would have made a lot of difference, but with my narrow upper jaw they wouldn't so much as push the front teeth back, as bring the neighbouring ones forward to create a straighter appearance - 6 or 7 grand all in all for not a great deal of change :? At my age the jaw is 'set'. My sister is having it done but it involves jaw surgery after almost two years of wearing a brace - scary stuff  She has the op this autumn :?

Than me too! Thanks Gal, I will be asking for LOTS of vibes when she has t done, I am quite worried about her, she's not the best with anaesthetics but is very stubborn and determined to get it done! xxxxx

Yes, the brace wearing has been tricky too, she's had a good week after each tightening where she's had to take painkillers and go on a soft diet - it's been a real palaver!
