I worked for the nhs ish, for about 10 years and paid into the pension, as you do.
They've been sending me an up-date every July, so I know how much I'll be getting.
Grumpy read today's letter that I won't be able to get it until I'm 65, which made me a bit mad, as I was under the impression I'd get it when I'm 60.
So I re-read the letter - which he'd told me, forget it, you won't get it until you're 65 or maybe even 66.
And yes, I'll get, on my 60th birthday, a lump sum (at the moment is nearly 10.000 sterling ) and an annual oension of nearly 4,000 sterling.
