Good morning Thursday

A place to chat with friends, old and new

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny at the moment, hope it lasts.

I had a lovely morning yesterday. The sun shone so we all sat outside on the terrace, can't beat those views. There are about 270 members but in practice 15/20 usually attend the coffee mornings each time. It's nice because there's no pressure, we can just drop in/out as our lives dictate, just what I was looking for. Everyone was really friendly, there was another newbie besides me and my neighbourJill and we were all made very welcome. Some people like me are new to the area, others have lived here most of their lives. It's a mixture of ages too so I didn't feel too ancient. Jill and I have already arranged to go together again next Wednesday. Apparently there's an off shoot group for young mums with children, they tend to meet on the beach when the weather's nice so the children can play while they have a gossip. There's also a group for men, although they're not into coffee mornings, more a pint over lunch type thing

Popping into the village after brekkie, need a few more bits for the bungalow, new doormats that sort of thing. This afternoon it's back to operation spare bedroom, not too much to do, just two more boxes and then we can make the bed ready for the invasion on Sunday.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Morning all :)
The sun's out :D There are also quite a few clouds but at least it's sunny some of the time :)

Late on here as poor Bb was on to the helpdesk for nearly two hours this morning. They should have seen it from this end, they'd say do this, he'd say ok, I'll do that and come back...then race up and have a shower, race down in a towel, do the next thing... :D
Would have been better if it had worked, but hey-ho.

Jen I'm so pleased for you, and much nicer than a small group which can be a bit tricky, this one sounds perfect :)
Meriad that's a wedding marathon all right, hope they both go well and good luck at the hospital today - hope you can park x
Kaz have a good time :)
Saundra I know, I saw the forecast and thought of you, they did say it should be warming up very soon x
Ally you're going to be home alone (((x)))
Good luck with Mr Budgie Ton :)

I'm taking it easy today but a nice walk up to the village and around is on the cards :)
Hope you're all enjoying the day
x

We've been into town, had a breakfast at the Cafe Zest in House of Frazer, then split up to do a bit of shopping. My allotted task, (according to the precise note Mrs O handed me!), was M&S for salmon fillets (5 for £11, freezable) and something choclatey whilst low calorie .. :D Also popped into the new model railway shop - and promptly popped out again when I saw the prices they were charging. Then WH Smiths to pick up a paperback thriller before meeting up again at the bus stop for the journey home.

That's us done for the day!

Good afternoon everybody.
Had my hair cut this morning. The barber has moved to new premises. This means I now have to catch a bus. Mrs.e came with me as she will not let me go out on my own until I get the all clear from the consultant
on 18th August. But there does not seem to be any problems as I can see as good with my right eye which now has the new lens as my left one.
The sun is out now but there have been grey clouds.
Just pottering as I cannot drive or do any heavy work such as gardening.

Jen, I'm so pleased that you are fitting in already with your new neighbours. That makes living in a new place so much easier :) 8-)

Ria, I hope all went well at the hossie :)

Well we had a nice time in Cheltenham, into Bella Italia for lunch (I had half of a very thin pizza and no pud!) and a lovely chat and catching up with R and G :D Then they toddled off and I went into Smiths and Primark with Becks and H - Smiths for the learning to drive DVDs set (that includes the theory test stuff and the highway code) in prep for B starting lessons. Then Primark for jeans for B and some new tee shirts for H - he's going on a tennis course later next month so I bought a few nice white tees for him for only £2.50 each  Then a nice sunny ride back though the countryside 8-) You can't beat the Gloucestershire scenery when the sun is out :D

Well I had a horrible day at work yesterday, kjust too much happening, door on a revolving thingy (or so it seemed!!), phone never stopped, constant repairs and dispensing, of course I am full, on my own (only me and Anne, the Optom) and of course there are three staff at head office and they had THREE tests ALL DAY!!!!   *fuuuuuuuuuuuume*!!! I have to admit to being completely overwhelmed by the volume of work and I had a bit of a panic attack which resulted in tears when I got home. I did manage to have a quick word with Boss about it, but he (gently) said it was because one staff member was on holiday.....erm yes I am fully aware of that, but did nobody think to release one of those three at H/O to me???

Aaaaanyway, all is well now because I have had the most relaxing morning with my girl - she arranged a birthday spa time for us to go together, we've both had a back massage, a light lunch, a swim/sauna/jacuzzi, and a lot of girly chat :D :D Sooooo chilled!! Got lost on the way back though ( - I mean, in this day and age!!) but soon sorted ourselves out, and now she has to go to work :|

Sun has popped its head out and we've actually been sitting out on the decking :D :D

Kaz I'm so glad you got to meet up with R.....too late to tell you to give her my love, hope she had a good birthday xx

Cruiser I'm sure it's fine but can understand Mrs C being concerned x
Kaz your day sounds lovely :) Those t-shirts are a bargain, blimey why on earth pay more, new ones look so nice don't they :)
Ossie Mrs O knows how to keep you occupied ;)

Lol Saundra we're in a similar boat, we have expensive boutique-type places or Peacocks :D
Gal that does sound over-busy and badly planned, maybe you should speak to the boss when it's a quieter day and you're not upset?
