Anyone who has travelled in Europe will know that the airways are filled with Rap, Hip-Hop and R'nB for the audibly challenged. When the equivalent of R2 is found they tend to play Eurotwonk, because it is popular.
The BBC and its 'experts' are going to have to come to terms with the fact that we either go with the flow or get something totally off the wall (Lordi). Continually putting up trash acts with trash songs is never going to work. It is not that Eurovision is as geo-political as some make out, it is more that Europe is not as infatuated with Anglo-American music as it once was - it now has its own identity. We need to deal with that to compete.
