I know that when you are getting older, it is sometimes difficult to come to terms with
the effects of inflation, particularly if it's in respect of something that you haven't bought
for many years. To give an extreme example, when I was a lad the generally accepted
amount to put in the collection at church was a threepenny bit. I haven't been to church
for years, but I expect the probable expected amount now is £5 (?).

I suggest that you do not consider this to be an insult, unless you really think that it was
intended to be, which I very much doubt. Perhaps it would be better to just forget it.

Think about it.

I actually don't think it was a tip Ton.

I think it was a couple of euros they found on the floor and left on a coaster.

Honestly, I think they were so stingy they left you sweet FA?

Well, they had to pay for their flights and their meals out, so an expensive holiday ;)

It's only D's sone who leaves us anything - all his other visitors haven't. And he's the poor bloke who has to pay Grumpy and me 8-)

I'm just going to ignore it.

I think that's the best plan Ton, especially as the old chap himself is so nice :) 8-)

I always leave my left over euro coins for the hotel maids when we go anywhere, it's usually between 5 and 10 and Mick does the same so it adds up to a decent tip I hope. Two euros is stingy
