I had an appointment this morning with the consultant who wanted an MRI done on my wrist - the one which I told him would not happen; the one that got cancelled on the 30th of April. Because the MRI was cancelled so was the 'potential' review on the 6th of May when he would have been able to move things forward. At the time a CT scan was suggested but the lead time was six to eight weeks.... or about next week if things had gone ahead.
Today he tells me he has had a look at the x-rays - available on the 6th, if the original appointment had not been cancelled - and he now thinks a CT scan and orthograph is the way to go, so, he is going to make an appointment for that - date unknown!!!
He is also thinking that if the CT does not give enough detail he will have to go in with a scope to view it directly. That is an operation, keyhole surgery, sometime in the future!
That, dear friends, is the end of my rant. Please don't reply as I am off to the pub!
