I had noticed a few folk wandering about, looking lost, but thought nothing of it.
So there I was putting some things in the car for a Charity Shop run when I am approached by a young family. Dad has a TomTom satnav, mum had a clipboard and the young lad had a compass!
The previous clue was three gravestones with numbers, the middle one in bold, underneath which they had written a name.
The clue they were on was a picture of some gardens, then parallel lines leading to a crescent moon and a six digit number beneath the lines. They were stumped.
The three streets in our little enclave are all 'Gardens' so they were in the right place. The lines represented the ginnel leading to a street named The Crescent, so they were close, but the number? Could I help? It turned out to be the registration number of the street lamp we were stood next to.
The next clue was a man trying to lift a log, then two men, then three plus a mobile phone plus a box.
I told them to turn right at the end of the ginnel and in about 100m they would find a Co-op and round the corner a phone box.
