Sunshine here and the snow is beginning to melt.
Anybody built a snowman? I have some spare snow in my front garden.

View from my front window at half seven this morning.....lots more snow overnight and as you can see, no paths or road visible It has been sunny all day though until now, clouding over as I type. Thawing all the time, but it's a pain to get off the estate!!

No J today - she's gone to Sheffield for the weekend

Good afternoon all!

Well it's sunny and we have a bit of a thaw going on here. John and I took Billy over the common first thing and we could tell that the depth of the snow had decreased from when we were over there around 9pm last night. Tom and I went into the town centre at lunch time though and the footpaths and pedestrianised areas were still treacherous, it was just thick ice everywhere. I did wonder if the council are wary of clearing footpaths in case anyone slips and sues but thinking about it, the forecourt at the leisure centre is cleared and gritted daily by the council's staff there.

Not much planned for the afternoon, tonight we're visiting my parents.
