That went well. I picked two horse for the National. One, Gas Line Boy did indeed fall at the first fence.

The second was called Bob Ford. I have recently been reading a book on the Old Wild West and as we all know, Bob Ford was the man who shot Jesse James.

So when I saw Bob Ford was running in the National, it was obviously A Sign.

And it was! It was a sign I was about to lose ten quid...

My dad was mates with a local bookie, but only ever went in to put mum's shilling on the National or Derby. Sometimes he would be tempted to pick his own horse.......

"Ney, lad" Alf would say, "You keep your money in your pocket. If the horse comes in I'll pay out, but if it doesn't you still have your money.

Well now, I don't remember Alf paying out, so dad must have saved a fortune.

You can get a one week pass for £10.99.

Jo would this work if you have Sky also? I reallyneed to get in touch with them as they keep putting my payments up and I need to try and find a way round this - a friend said she called them every 6 months to tell them she wanted to reduce her costs and they always do - ok it's a phone call every 6 months but compared to the payments that's got to be a good thing? T likes to watch football and racing mostly (I'm not sporty so I don't watch them, we have multiroom and HD but that's all and I pay almost £45 pcm)

I have seen this now tv boxes in places like Tesco and wondered if they were ok.
