S came home yesterday with a Hollister sweatshirt that she had bought off a mate for £30. She hadn't mentioned it to me - and its her money that she's earned (two weeks wages) so its up to her what she spends it on.

But why, oh why didn't she think to mention it to me first. I've just looked on ebay. There's a few of them that look identical - ranging from 99p to £8.65 (for used ones - which this one is). There's new ones on there for £32.

Sigh.

And they have to learn from their mistakes....

And a "quiet word" will only bring on a pout or a sulk or both....
