Plugs are scary

Doesn't appear to be a noise thing. Last night he only had a splash n dash from the bathroom sink. Every time the flannel went in the basin he screamed.

Really does seem to be a fear of the plug. Possibly of things going down it, but I'm wondering about a monster in it.

I assume you have a 'regular' walk in shower... could you shower him instead until he overcomes his fear of the bath? And also maybe let him see you bathing so he realises it's nothing to be afraid of? This is difficult

Shower has a small problem at the moment.

When we bought the house it had carpet in the bathroom and toilet, so we got it taken out with the intention of putting vinyl down to look like a laminate floor. Only, the sample we got looked awful, and we have been so busy with our old place we haven't had the time to go and choose vinyl. So on the meantime, there is chipboard down on the floor. Chipboard swells and disintragrates when it gets badly wet.

An the doi on the shower doesn't seal that we'll, and there isn't the spac for two in there. Sigh. So long way of saying, that's not really an option right now as ill end up with too much water on the floor.

Think I might try and have a bath with him for a week or so and see if cuddles can change anything.

I honestly think that might be the best thing to try, at this stage ((((((x))))))

The problem with avoiding scary situations is that you can compound the fear.........Better to face them with someone reasurring ie you and lots of cuddles xxxxxx

How is he if you put the toys in the bath without the water?

He freaks out. But that was after a bath a couple of nights ago. I'll try it in the morning and see if I get a similar reaction.
