Morning all :D

Bright and sunny here, looking out of the window across at the sea it could almost be the middle of summer. E's just back with the papers and says that thought was a tad exaggerated

No plans for today, I'll be cooking a nice M&S rotisserie chicken for dinner later and that's about it.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Did a GINORMOUS shop at Morrisons for under £65 8-) 8-) A huge tray of marked down pork loin chops for £4, half price curries (the really hot sort Mick likes) for £!.65, and garlic baguettes for 19p each - I can't make them myself for that :D 8-) 8-) I do love Morrisons :D

Oh and a big tray of winter pansies for my front door hanging basket, as the ivy has died off a lot and it needs colour :D

Afternoon all, still very windy here and there is a real bite in it. We had both grandchildren here last night, Kellie's first night away from Mum and Dad. All went well, she slept from 10.30pm until just before 7am...of course I didn't  Michael came in at 6am looking for Grandad to go and play in his room, which Grandad duly did, and I got up when Kellie started to stir. We were out in the park by 9.30! Miss Osc and hubby arrived to collect them just before 12, we have had lunch and Mr Osc has gone to bed! I am going to have a snooze on the couch, then we are going to a friend's house for an early meal. Enjoy the rest of Sunday, everyone :)

Good afternoon everybody.
Went shopping this morning as we are having visitors tomorrow.
Not had any rain today but it was very windy last night. No damage yet but some wheelie bins have been blown over. We keep ours in the garage.

Yes it was good because it was her first time in the travel cot. I never used to sleep well when M was smaller either, every little rustle on the baby monitor had me on alert. At least Miss Osc and SIL had a nice night out, they weren't out too late but didn't have to be up early with the children and had some precious time with just themselves.

Di, oddly enough I don't like lamb shanks done any way except very simply, with veg and a light stock, but then I don't really like alcohol in my food, nor do I like a lot of spices - I'm a barrel of laughs to have over for dinner

I like flavours but am not good with very rich food Osc.
So it had a small glass of red wine not a bottle as per most recipes ;)
The juice was still very strong, of lamb, but we diluted it - and I only like plain veg, so it was mash, broccoli, carrot & green beans.
It was all very yummy and a real treat :D

The Moroccan version is not particularly spicy, the tabbouleh is bulghur wheat with spring onion, tomato, cucumber and lots of mint, parsley & lemon (and fresh chilli for us), so a nice contrast to the richness of lamb :)
