Open University short courses - all free!

Postby Diflower » 03 Jan 2015, 12:54

Have put this on fb but thought I'd post here as well as not everyone's on fb.

These are short courses, when you go to the actual lists it tells you how many hours they last - some only 2 hours, others 10 or 20.
Some are designed to be introductions to subjects but others are more like proper full courses.
Have a read of this then follow the links here

Oh thanks Di, I've had a quick look but will have a proper one when I have more time. I might find something interesting there 8-) :D

Did you see anything you fancied? 8-) :)

Yes I did Kaz, I'm going to go through the whole list and make notes of the ones that look interesting.
It says you can enrol on as many as you like, and if you decide they're not for you you just click 'unenrol' :)

There is a Spanish for beginners, but when you look at it the summary at the top says you do need some basic Spanish first.
I shall look anyway, I might be able to manage ;)
A good challenge (for myself) would be to try 2 courses that interest me and another that I know nothing about at all ;) :)

That does sound like a good challenge Di :) I wouldn't mind brushing up my German, perhaps

Some very interesting opportunities there.

I'll say Rodo, especially for free :D

I'm going to have a good look through when I'm hoped tin the laptop.

I've already seen a couple I fancy but it's fiddly on the iPad.

Thanks Di.

Lol Debih I love predictive text

Seriously though, I was thrilled to discover it and cross I didn't already know about it!
The length of them and lack of stress is so attractive, what's not to like :)

I like the look of those! Just a quick look has got me interested in the introduction to bookkeeping and accounting course - making the money balance and keeping records was my absolute favourite part of my job in retail, so much so that the area manager gave me the job of collecting in and balancing the weekly sales totals, wages, expenses etc for her area. Loved it! :D
