Morning all, much milder but there seems to have been a good bit of rain overnight. I woke feeling so awful that I decided to go to the walk-in clinic at my doctor's surgery, ironically where we are living is about 10 minutes nearer than usual! I have a bad sinus infection and a slight chest infection, so he has given me huge one-a-day antibiotics which will probably make me feel worse before I feel better  Think I might head back to bed for a few hours. No plans for NYE, we are never bothered about it and would often be in bed before midnight  tonight will be no different. Have a good day everyone :)

Same here - we have done something in past years but T couldn't get out of working today - and as luck would have it, he's on a late finish :| so we couldn't have gone anywhere to stay overnight. Jen is working this evening as well....so I will be in charge of cooking! :o T did say he'd take me out if I wanted to go...MAYBE we will nip up to the pub we went to for Lily's christening as they have live music on tonight and it's a lovely pub with a log fire and whatnot.....but probably not. T's been up since 5am and tbh I'm not sleeping very well atm for some reason so I was up with him for a bit and then went back to bed for another hour or so. I've done absolutely zilch today, oh swept the kitchen floor! I did intend to clean the bathrooms and hoover upstairs....but I haven't.

Have a great evening everyone, no matter what you do.....hugs and vibes for the poorlies, and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! :D

Happy New Year Gal, and to everyone :D If you do end up going out, have a nice time. Too late for us to change our minds, all the pubs will be ticket only tonight :?

We walked into town and back, Harry bought some new football boots, we had a snack lunch in Coffee#1 then walked home again ;)

None of the pubs in the village do ticket only. Don't think they do in Matlock either.

The one we usually go to (and where we are going tonight after dinner) always has a live band, a bit of a buffet, provides party poppers etc and does a fab firework display and desnt charge a thing.

Don't think this one is ticket only - it's not long since their refurb and they are posting about the live band on FB so it doesn't sound as though they will be....

Anyway we might not go, he's come home in a mood..... :|
