Good morning Tuesday- Christmas Eve!

Postby Ally » 24 Dec 2013, 06:34

Good morning. :)

Still dark but a lovely sunny day forecast. 8-) 8-)

Oooh it's good to be home! I love jaunting about but there's no place like home. :x :x

I came home to a spick and span house, laundry all done and the shopping all bought...leaving today free to have fun with the boys and Don. :P

Going to Hairy Mary's later for a few beers and a party..but will be home for Last Tango In Halifax!

Everyone have a jolly day. 8-) 8-)

Good morning :D

I finally managed to get to sleep about 2am - that wind last night was ferocious. Still no news from Frank (my brother) and I'm hoping his ferry managed to get into port by now and that he's on his way - he must be exhausted and I'll be glad when he gets here!

Having a 'lazyish' day today I think. Off to the vet to drop off their Christmas gift, wrap up a few gifts that I need for tonight and tomorrow but that's about it. Then off to Karl and Nadine's this evening for 5pm as we (being German) celebrate Christmas tonight.

Have a lovely day everyone

Morning all! I'm still in bed but will get up soonish. Skies seem to be clear out there and Mr. Osc has just put the heat on so the bathroom will be warm when I have my shower. Later this morning we are going to Miss Osc's house as Mr. Osc will be helping SIL prepare the turkey for tomorrow. Then home for a nice relaxing Christmas Eve - wonderful when someone else is doing all the cooking

We had a lovely day yesterday, went into town where we pottered around and had lunch. Bumped into Miss Osc and family in one shop, Michael was loving it all, his little innocent smiling face was a joy to see and he thought it great fun to meet us unexpectedly! We usually do the town trip on Christmas Eve but all that was missing was carol singers and drunks!! Enjoy your Christmas Eve everyone :D :x :)

Morning everyone

Very blowy here and grey too, but warm :P :P :P I've looked at the weather forecasts for the next couple of days and we seem to be missing the worst of the weather :D the rest of Portugal isn't going to be quite so lucky :(

Hope the travellers make it home to you both - we're hoping our car will get back today, otherwise we're cream crackered for Boxing Day - the trains will be running though, so we can always use that.

I'll take a walk down to the village to get some decent beer to take with us on Boxing Day, otherwise just need to take stuff out of the freezer, uncork the wine and relax 8-)

Hope you all have a lovely, worry free day xx

morning all,

tried to post earlier from my phone but kept getting an error message :o

So its Christmas Eve :D :D we are up and eating breakfast, I have just made a pot of soup so that is bubbling away and should be ready by 1030, home made soup for our starter tomorrow :)

We are off to the theatre this afternoon to see White Christmas, can't wait!!

Amy was very excited last night at bed time so i hope she goes to sleep tonight!

****vibes***** for you Kaz xx

Oh after the theatre we have to deliver some presents to my sister and co, and then visit my parents for bit, I left it too late to 'send the presents to Santa' ;) and Amy received a Santa letter the other day with a Mrs Claus Cookie Mix, so going to make them tonight, apparently just add water, mix up and put in fridge for 20mins then cut up into discs and cook - wish me luck!!

Have a good day all

xxxx

Morning :)
Couldn't sleep for ages, the noise was incredible from that wind. Dropped off to sleep then woke up around 4, I think the quiet woke me, the wind had suddenly dropped :D It's still very windy, but nothing like it was - people further north are going to be affected more today I think, but we're still forecast a lot of rain :o
The whole rail network is suspended so no-one's getting anywhere fast.
Few bits of h-word, and pottering in the kitchen for me - and Bb, he's making the sausage rolls :D
We're going to our neighbour this evening for drinks, not sure how many are going but we're taking some nibbly bits so I shall enjoy making those :)

Glad your brother's on his way meriad, and vibes aplenty that Chris makes it ok Kaz (((x)))
Ooh just remembered I took some sausages out of the freezer last night, sausage butties for brekkie :x :P
Hope everyone and their loved ones stay safe
