I seen the clip of the new version - and even Trevor Eve's presence wouldn't persuade me to watch it.
Frank Finlay - swoonerama.
Seen a clip of a younger Frank Finlay on the Morecambe and Wise show last week and even Don remarked what a handsome man he was!

I bought the box set of the original - it's very sexy and I think Susan Penhaligon makes a much better Pru.
Love Trevor Eve but not in this role.

Only seen the odd clip of the new one, but the original was fantastic, and agreeing about FF and SP

I'm going to sound a right BOF here but I think alot of remakes just want to shove the sex factor in your face - the originals are more often than not far sexier as subtlety usually is. iyswim.
Talking of oozing understated sexiness - Ever Decreasing Circles is being repeated once a week on BBC4 to celebrate 30 ( ) years since it was first shown.
There was a scene last week between Paul (swoonerama) and Ann that absolutely oozed sexiness without as much as a hint of cleavage!

I agree with you so am firmly in the BOF corner too
There was amazing chemistry with Anne and Paul in EDC I always wondered what she saw in Martin, she was more like his carer or his mum than his wife
