Strictly week 4

Postby jenniren » 21 Oct 2013, 11:26

I was sooooo relieved to be rid of Julian, he was really getting on my nerves  In fairness he wasn't the worst dancer this week, Fiona was dreadful, Deborah wasn't much better (but I like her) and Dave, well he's just Dave

Best dance of the night for me was Sophie and Brendan's, lovely, lovely, lovely 8-)
Also loved Abby and Aljaz, it seemed to finish way to quickly, a sure sign of how good it was.
Natalie and Artem were excellent as usual, but I can't understand how she can continue with a bad back as described. It could cause long lasting damage, really not worth risking for a tv show :?
Love Mark and Iveta, he brings a huge smile to my face :D
Think Patrick is very overrated, his flat feet drive me mad!
Ben, well what did he do exactly except throw Kristina around a lot :? Tbh I find myself watching her all the time, he's just an incidental prop.
Didn't dislike Ashley and Ola, it was just so so though.
Still can't warm to Suzanna, but loving Kevin from Grimsby.

Was surprised to see Rachel in the dance off, she definitely wasn't the worst on the night, but oh dear her timing was all over the place. Pasha's choreography was way beyond her.

Everything you've said Jenniwren - word for word apart from that dreadful Dave. I wish he'd go! I also think Kevin from Grimsby is adorable. I keep imagining him whipping his glasses off, rippling his muscles and turning into a Hunka Hunka Burnin' Lurve!

Sophie is like The Ice Queen yet is seems to work beautifully on the dance floor whatever she dances. Her attitude reminds me of the dance scene with Uma Thurman and John Travolta dancing to 'You Never Can Tell' in 'Pulp Fiction '

Excuse me get your paws off Kevin from Grimsby, I think I mentioned he was mine way back when they met their partners. He is my Matthew replacement, although I do have Pasha, so maybe I could share

I love Sophie's face when she is waiting for the results she really makes me laugh.

I would have been happy to see Dave or Fiona go this week.

Pasha was totally to blame for Rachel's poor performance - the choreography was waaaaaaay too fast and difficult for her, she was almost chasing around after him! Natalie was excellent but I can't take to her. For me the star performance of the evening was Brendan and Sophie, just gorgeous, a proper foxtrot with proper steps and beautifully danced. Dave makes me smile, he seems to be such a nice genuine person having a great time, loved Mark too, but those shoes prevented him doing the cha cha properly. Hated Abby's eye makeup!!

I only saw the second half of the Saturday show, but what I did see, I found myself disagreeing with a lot of the judge's markings / comments again, way too high for some ....

Also glad Julien has gone, he has such an irritating persona. I agree Ashley and Ben are both lumps and will need to improve their technique drastically if they are to survive - Dave, well, he wins hands down for sheer effort !! Surprised Rachel was in the dance-off, in hindsight - I'd have said Susannah's samba was awfully "messy" and deserved to be marked lower than it was ....
