The Secret of Crickley Hall

What did you think?

I thought the first one had great promise, the second so so but the third was dire. Unbelievable story line and I don't mean the ghosts, hammy acting, just awful. The scariest thing in it was that little girl with the helium voice and she wasn't supposed to be scary

I have put the book on my Christmas list though, as I have read The Magic Cottage so I know the book will be great.

We loved it and were on the edge of our seats shell, all very scary.

I thoroughly enjoyed it, especially the last episode, really edge of seat stuff. I like a good ghost story but I rarely watch series like this on TV (I usually forget and end up missing an episode) but this one was worth it :)

You, me and the Telegraph then MM. I could have written their review myself but I do like James Herbert's books but not this TV adaptation.

Fugi, have you read The Magic Cottage? Brilliant book, hope the BBC don't get their hands on it
