I’ve still got one to go Kaz.

I am enjoying it, but it’s a bit long winded

I thought so too - Kaz would you mind explaining it to me please? I found it quite hard going.

If you do can you make sure the word spoiler is added to the title and I will avoid it until next week. But I do have a horrible feeling I'm going to need it

Yes - I think I got it, but I'm not sure - I didn't watch it all at once and kept forgetting the character names from one week to the next

So I know the circs regarding the mother and what happened to the abductor, but the rest is a bit hazy....

Sooo Rose was her real mother. The woman she thought was her mum was a policewoman who rescued her from the cult. The retired cop (Brendan Coyle) who had seemed to be on Tilly's side was involved in the cult, as was the doctor and her husband, the archeologist, and the young Aussie guy. He wasn't really evil, just weak and they bribed him.

The cult needed a child to summon the archangel - it was never really explained why they wanted this. They'd abducted a little boy all those years ago, but had drugged him too much and he died, so they took Carys.

The policewoman saved her, fled with her, and they assumed fake identities, of a dead woman and child that the policewoman remembered from an accident that happened when she worked elsewhere.

Hal discovered all this so the cult tried to kill him before he could tell Matilda, so he had a car accident

Hal was sort of ok, after wandering around he went to Trudy and she looked after him. The cult got hold of Rose's little boy (Matilda's halfbrother) and he was going to be the sacrifice this time, but Tilly saved him by going into the basement of the big house where the archangel was. Matilda/ Carys was taken over by the archangel and killed the cult members, although there were only four graves, so maybe one escaped? Did you see her eyes in the final scene in the bathroom? There are rumours of another series.......

I think I got most of that apart from the BIB - I didn't see that she'd done that, and no I didn't see her eyes....did the archangel leave her at the end? Clearly the theme was supernatural, but what were the noises, as I saw one of them putting a tape on with said noises to sound haunted but it's like they were 'real'?

No, the archangel was still possessing her! Not sure about the noises.
