I haven't watched it yet, but then I somehow managed to miss the whole of the last series too.

It was a bit different, mostly being set in South Africa, and to be honest the episodes set in the East End are better

Most series like this don't travel well. It was easy enough to watch post-Christmas dinner - although Sinead Cusack's Irish accent was dreadful :lol: :lol:

I've caught a few old episodes this week on Drama, they are the classic ones, based on the books :D

You know Doreen has some fantastic stories from her old district nursing days during the 60s, in the villages around Gloucester, when a lot of the old cottages only had a 'Bucket and chuck it' rather than proper loos and bathrooms. The people were real characters! She should have written a book about it all :)
