What a truly superb series this has been.

The acting is just fantastic - and the scenes where Caroline was 'talking' to Kate really tugged on the heartstrings.

Sarah Lancashire is such a good actress.

our local paper did a piece about cellia the other week
and she lives in bridlington
they moved here when they married but joe died 4 years later
of course the series went on and i think altho its been good acting and watchable
the story lines have been very far fetched but thats tv for you

Now you see the angst riden, neurotic and angry Gillian was played brilliantly by Nicola Walker, and althought I do like Sarah Lancashire, Nicola won it for me.

I bet there wasn't a dry eye in the house last night.

I didn't cry :D :D
Love Gillian, and Nicola's brilliant; I do agree Sarah's a terrific actress, better than I'd thought she was ;)

Saundra surely if it was all true to life it would be a bit boring :D
For me though it wasn't too far-fetched.

The scene in Happy Valley where SL was trying to get back in the police care was the equal of any acting I have seen for a long while.

And NW as the drunk woman in the back of the police car in Scott and Bradley, the one where she kidnapped the Superintendant, was also up there with the best.

Derek Jacobi and Anne Reid were the "names" when the whole thing started, but Lancashire and Walker have taken over the star roles for me.
