I enjoyed the books, but somehow find the TV adaptations a bit repetitive

The recent episode didn't get a very good write-up in the Telegraph. Have to say, I agree with a lot of it.

She wrote one about the workhouse as well. That was really good too.

Yes it was, although very sad in parts, and she also wrote about her work with the terminally ill when she was a little older. She was such a good storyteller 8-)
