Good winner, Nancy was steady all the way through.

I did feel sorry for Richard. He started to fall to pieces from the off and never really got into the final.

That's a long time for all those people to keep a secret - the participants, their families, the presenters, the judges, the crew. I think its amazing that it didn't get out - and brilliant as nowdays everything is leaked and it just spoils it for the viewer.

Maybe they're paid to keep the secret with a year's supply of cakes and pastries? It'd work for me :P

Seriously though it is very impressive that the result isn't leaked!

Especially when you think within a nanosecond of it being on TV it was all over the social media.

Wonderful series...I adore GBBO. :D :D

I thought Richard would win too, but according to The Male Judge :D they decide the final on that weekend's performance and on that basis Nancy was the best. How on earth they kept those young children from spilling the beans is beyond me.

I recorded it so of course it was on the front page of the DM the next day which rather killed the suspense for me, but I enjoyed it anyway. I loved The Extra Slice afterwards too. The Male Judge doesn't like being made fun of does he?

No - Old Blue Eyes takes himself rather seriously these days, methinks :P

I think Richard was lovely, and talented but he cracked under the pressure, whereas Nancy was cool ;)
