It is no wonder that it brought back memories to us.
I have been looking up Raymond Briggs on Wikpedia and he
was born a week before me!!
His childhood must have been much the same as ours.
His wife died only 2 years after his parents in 1973.

It was magical, wasn't it? Glad you enjoyed it Lissie :) I wasn't born until 1959 but it reminded me of my childhood and stories from my grandparents.

I downloaded it off the back of this thread and how you'd all enjoyed it. I think it'll be too much for Tom though, he cries so easily at sentimental stuff (but don't tell him I told you!)

I'll watch in the next couple of days x
