Pointless

Postby Osc » 01 Feb 2013, 19:32

I've become strangely addicted to this early evening....er.....pointless....quiz! At first I was giving out because I thought it rewarded lack of knowledge, but now I've really got into it! The two presenters Alex and Richard are very laid back, once you catch on to their style.

I have hardly missed an episode since it began. I am totally addicted.

It is a good programme, but I do wish Alexander Armstrong would change his patter - it's so repetitive, show after show .....

The trouble is Ossie, it needs to be. Don't you think though that he is so gracious in the way he deals with the contestants. He gets rid of them making sure they feel good about themselves and have their head held high even though they have been useless. I think there is a lovely atmosphere on that programme.

I agree Rodo, it's a tough job and he does it well.
Osc do you mean before you saw it? I'm always chuffed if I get a pointless answer, but need Bb for films and actors ;)

No Di, I meant the first couple of times we watched it, but once I understood how it worked, I really got into it. Tonight's final was a really hard subject, Mexican states

Oh ok, can understand that :)
Wasn't it just, some of them are so hard - others can hit lucky, but still need to really know their stuff - even if they do need anoraks to know it ;)

Probably the best quiz show on TV for a very, very, long time. The banter between Richard and Zander is better than some comedy sketches, and the puns, oh the puns....

Fabulous programme, never miss it (I record it for the days I'm at work and would otherwise miss it) and then we watch while having our tea.

Don't miss the Celebrities version, this evening ;)

Did you know, Richard is 6ft 7 tall??? Xander is brilliant, I love the banter between them
