[Fugitive]

Great first episode of 'The Politician's Husband' on BBC2 Thursday's at 9.00.pm. Excellent drama and I loved David Tennant in this. There's only three episodes so it is taut and full of intrigue with a superb cast of actors.

He is a fine actor because to appear in two completely different dramas in two such contrasting roles proves it. I think I prefer him speaking with an English accent and not being so manic. Shame there's only three episodes as it reminded me of Borgen(Bergen?) and that had at least ten.

I agree - but it's the same old Wycliffe and the same old Inspector Thursday.

Just like it's the same old Harriet from Prisoners Wives in Scott 'n Bailey.

Have we only got a pool of 20-odd actors and actresses uin the UK now? Has everyone else gone to Hollywood?

It was well acted, but even though I watched it and will watch the whole thing, I found that I didn't care.

That is a particular bee in my bonnet. same faces all over the TV, and not only actors!

Olivia Colman - Ellie from Broadchurch - is the star of a new costume drama on ITV and no doubt there will be a lot more familiar faces as well.

Well, it's over. In with a muted bang, out with a whimper. I found it all so "readable" that I was disappointed. With the cast it had it could have been so much better.

We thought, at the end of the day, that it would have been a better ending if they'd finished it at that point where Tennant broke down after his son gave him the Transformer toy ...... what happened after that was a bit trite.

We followed the final epidode by watching the first episode of "Murder on the Home Front" on ITV+1. Absolutely brilliant!

Two superb leads in Tamzin Merchant and Patrick Kennedy. More stereotypical characters than you could shake a stick at - police in trilbys and upturned collars, spivs with slicked back hair and pencil thin mustaches ..... the whole joint rocking to falling bombs and Remy "Snakehips" Kouakou-Kouame ..... gorgeous stuff!
