The Light Between Oceans

Postby Gal2 » 12 Feb 2021, 13:46

This is such a strange one.....so I was on the phone to my sister the other day and she was telling me she'd picked up this paperback in a charity shop a while back, and it made her cry....she's not a cry-ey person, usually...but she told me the title and the author and said when we can, she'd lend it me. She gave a quick synopsis of the story, shortly after, we ended the call and I switched the laptop on to watch another Lind of Duty on iplayer.

Lo and behold what do I see in the films on iPlayer.....the title of the book M had spoken about, same synopsis....so I started to watch it. It's a lovely story, very touching and quite sad in parts.....a bit different.....

Give it a watch, but be quick, it's not available for long!!!

My neighbour lent me the book Gal and said it was a must read and she was right.

We watched the film a few weeks ago, still good, but as ever the book is better.

Read the book and saw the film quite some time ago, loved them both. I thought the film was really well done.
