We did a bit of a cull the other week, but have books all over the place :)
The kitchen has 2 big shelves which bridge wall units, with cookery books - plus a big pile of clipped/torn out recipes, which regularly get filed but grow again just as fast.
More cookbooks are in the tall bookcase at the top of the stairs, which also houses 'permanent' books, like my poetry ones, some old hardbacks that are a mixture of pretty and sentimental...all sorts.
There are more in the second bedroom, and then there's the smaller bookcase in here, for current/to choose from/reference books, again all sorts. And Bb has a pile in the hall that his mum brought round, and another few in a magazine holder by his side of the sofa...plus the ones on the kindle, and the few on the coffee table :D

There's nowhere near as many as there used to be :D

You'd be more than welcome to a rummage Ally but there's not many you'd be allowed to take away ;)
Mostly now they're ones we want to keep, or just waiting to be read :) .

That's exactly the same as me Di. :D

All my books in my 'forever' bookcase are exactly that, forever. :D :D

The rest waiting to be read will be passed back to the markets from whence they came via mum..although knowing me I'm sure there are a few I'll just 'have' to keep!

That bookcase upstairs, I thought - there is one book I'd love you to read - but won't part with my copy
But have found a way round it ;) Have pm'd you :)

I am reading Jamaica Inn, as Kaz mentioned and that is from my 'forever' collection :D
Bookcases...we have two large floor to ceiling bookcases in our 'spare' room...it has a wooden floor, so we have emptied it apart from the bookcases and a beanbag (it's now our little dance practice room :D )
Two wide bookcases on the landing, one in the living room and piles of books in the bedroom, waiting for another bookcase
