No icon, nuffin.

I've tried to download it again and I can't.

I've no idea what your trouble is, Ton, but you reminded me that I, too, wanted to download Google Earth,
so I've just done that, with no trouble at all.

Maybe Suff or WM will be able to advise you.

New computer, no. A new brain... hmmm.

If you use Google maps you get the option to use satellite images - the old google earth. No download and no sign-up.

Odd, try going to http://earth.google.com select Google Earth Pro

Click on the download desktop button and see if it works

Try looking in 'Downloads'. If it's there, just double click on it and it should then be installed. (I think).

Pressing Ctrl-J when in the browser should bring up the download list. From there you should be able to find and run the download.

I always do save as with IE and with Firefox and Chrome I always set the settings to ask me where to download....

All these programs which try to "help" you. Idiots don't even realise that many people don't ever use Windows explorer and don't want to know how to find things like downloads in the browser...

Did that Suff and I appear to have installation problems - so I'm definately going to see Flavio tomorrow - he built the blasted thing, he can sort it out for me.

But thank you x

Sounds like a plan. There's probably an error message somewhere.

On reflection it sounds like there is something in the current install which is blocking it. Maybe it tried to update, failed and is stuck half way. That happens from time to time and you have to do some work to un stick it.
