Flash player is trying to store cookies on your system to remember configuration and other details.
Due to the new EU regulations, all programs which try to leave cookies on your system must ask permission first.
That is why this is now coming up. If you say yes it should remember it and then not ask again.
It is not keeping anything it did not keep before. It just has to ask now whereas it did not have to ask before.

It is safe enough Vic, from sites that you know.
With ITV it is probably a cache of your viewing history and the settings on your computer of viewing options - HD, windows size etc.
However, along with any Accept/Deny option there should also be a 'Never ask again' button.
I stream things for some sports and letting Adobe flash player have a bigger cache tends to even out the stream so that I get fewer break ups.
