I am now able to talk to several people in the UK using Whatsapp and a nephew in Gemany.

Does anybody know if it is possible to use this system to speak with people in the USA? I can get their phone numbers as we exchange emails.
But it would be nice to talk to them.
I would have to ask a young friend to set the Whatsapp up for me as I am not very good at technical workings especially on
mobile phones.

Get their phone numbers (correctly formatted with +1 prefix), add them to your phone contacts, then select them from WhatsApp.

Alternatively they can get your phone number, WhatsApp you and you can save their details in your contacts.

If you have WhatsApp on your mobile your friends are listed under Chats when you open it up. Click on a name and at the top the line with their avatar changes and now you should see a movie camera icon, a phone icon and three vertical dots (main menu). Click on the movie camera and there you are, a video call or click the phone Icon for a phone call.
