Painting and electrics

Postby cruiser2 » 01 Jul 2014, 14:26

Have decided to have the wooden windows and door at the front of the house painted again. Mrs. e won't let me do them as I have not to climb a ladder. Got a good price from a local decorator who did a house across the way two years ago. Hope to have it done at the end of July or beginning of Augustdepending on the weather

We are also going to have a new consumer unit fitted. An electrician was working at a house at the end of our road. He came to have a look at our fuse board and gave us a price for fitting a modern one. The price will include a test of the existing wiring, sockets and light fittings. We will then get a certificate as required by the new Building Regulations This is being done at the end of July. Have got s definite date.

nothing like a lick of paint to instantly brighten up a house - and wise Mrs C not letting you do it ;-)

Good luck and hope it all goes to schedule and plan
