Saundra, I just asked a Swedish colleague and yes, duvet covers in Sweden don't have fastenings - it's normal. The gap at the bottom end of the duvet cover is smaller so the duvet doesn't fall out. They also have 'holes' in the two top corners so you can put your hands into the cover to pull the duvet up.

The girls have lots of duvet covers from Ikea and none of them have fastenings. I love them - saves me a job doing them up!!!

I had forgotten that about IKEA. Our boys had some covers years ago when they were small and they were the same :D Glad you got some money back though Saundra 8-)

Saundra, we had an Ikea kitchen when we had our kitchen extension built - I loved that kitchen!! We paid something silly like £650 for it (in 2005) and that was for a lot of units and included a large ceramic double Belfast style sink and it still looked brand new when we moved in 2010.

Ikea kitchens came top in the Which? survey last month, closely followed by John Lewis.
