We weren't quite sure what this dead looking tree was, so we've left it - and now, we have leaves and new growth and having checked it out, it's a fig tree.

How lovely

So we have about 6 olive trees, one fig and about 40 cork oak.

All we need now are some lemon, lime and orange trees

My parents in law had an old family friend in Wincanton, Somerset who had a fig vine up against a sunny wall in her back garden, and she did used to get fruits off it for making preserves / chutneys. Hopefully you'll get a good crop in the summer .....
