Millie - updated

I've spoken to the vet - she's going to be okay. What a massive relief.

They have tested her for pancreanitis and that has come back negative, they xrayed her and that showed that she was a little gassy so they put like a barium meal through her and that passed through her fine. They are pretty sure that it is just a reaction to the tablets.

They have fed her a small amount of their very expensive food and she has kept that down and they also included some of that in the barium meal thingy so they knew that she was having some food. They didn't mention if she was on an iv drip and I forgot to ask. They are keeping her in overnight so that they can check that she keeps her food down in the morning and also to try to get a stool sample from her. She is as bright as a button.

They also said that the leg was looking brilliant - because she was sedated they were able to get a really good look at it. They have taken some of the stitches out.

I have to ring again about 10.30am tomorrow morning for an update and to find out what time I can go and fetch her.

The feeling of relief is immense!

I won't be posting this on facebook just yet - I will PM the people that have commented. I'm sure The Idiot or his wife must have seen it so they can sweat it out a bit longer!!!
