Candy has crossed Rainbow Bridge

My lovely Candy was put to sleep this afternoon.
All day yesterday she was very unsettled, pacing and couldnt seem to settle. She was also having trouble opening her mouth and had to be spoon fed. I was up most of the night with her-she was pacing up and down beside my bed and wouldnt settle until I held her. I eventually took her into the bed with me and we fell asleep about 6.30am.
When I got up today she was the same way and I knew her quality of life had gone so I phoned the vet and made an appointment for this afternoon. Before we went to the vet I spoon fed her some double cream-she purred happily and then snuggled into e for an hour or so.
The vet agreed with me that her end was definitely here and I held her in my arms and spoke away to her as she slipped away.
I'm obviously very upset but just grateful that I had those few extra weeks with her-I feel that I really got to know another part of her that I wouldnt have known otherwise.
