had her annual jabs today :) She was very good apparently (Mick and B went as I was making dinner) in the actual surgery with the vet, but showed herself up as per usual in the waiting room, yapping at the cats and carrying on!

I expect all of your pets behave beautifully, but Peps is a bit of a delinquent on the quiet - totally without malice, sweet natured as anything, but mad as a box of frogs.................. :?

Millie behaves wonderfully.

She doesn't pull on her lead to get out, cry constantly, try to lick the vet every time he puts his face towards her and attack other dogs. Oh no, that's another little brown dog called Millie.

:D

Minnie does behave beautifully
The funniest thing I ever saw at the vets was a German Shepherd desperately trying to fit onto its owner's lap, paws around her shoulders :D

Delete the word Peps and add in Billy and that's him to a tee
He went for his annual booster on Friday, dragged me at a run from the car into the surgery and was the noisiest animal in there. In fact, the other dogs were perfectly well behaved and quiet yet Billy couldn't sit still, he was howling to go and play with the other dogs (who were ignoring him), was too excited to stand on the scales...and this was before he'd got in to see the vet. She was a new one who looked about ten and she was all over the floor in the surgery trying to give him a health check   The shame of it.

Can't claim all the credit Kaz (if any!) she was born like it.
Since the day we got her I've posted saying she's the perfect dog. Which is not to say she's timid or quiet and boring, not by any means - it's just always been hard to find fault with her :(

That is too funny - I love the description of her being as mad as a box of frogs; it really does paint a picture doesn't it :D. Also love that one about GSD on the owners lap, it often is the biggest that are the sloppiest isn't it :)

Last year some time I had one of my cats to the vet and this lady came in with a Staffie and Jack Russel and the little JR was terribly behaved and tried to get at the food bags that were displayed and kept jumping about. The owner for some reason didn't have the common sense to move away from the food which resulted in various bags being knocked to the ground. All she kept on saying was 'no Rocky, leave it Rocky, no Rocky, naughty boy Rocky' but didn't do anything - And then delightful Rocky also wee'd. Needless to say everyone was quite glad when she and dogs were called in and then left.

And then when I was back the next week for a follow up appointment lo and behold the same lady walked in with both dogs - thankfully though this time I had the first appointment so managed to escape before much damage was done :)

:? Oh dear, well she's not as bad as Rocky then :D

I love that expression too - I first heard it ages ago so can't take credit for it, but it is so decriptive, isn't it? :D
